Bobby Wilson enters his second year as the Assistant Baseball Coach at the University of Chicago in the 2025-26 academic year.

Wilson has been coaching in college baseball since 2014. After spending 5 seasons as an assistant coach at the College of Dupage, he took over as the head coach of the program in 2019 for 6 seasons. Wilson spent a total of 11 seasons with College of Dupage baseball.

During his time, Wilson racked up a 124-81-1 record with three NJCAA regional appearances, which included one runner-up finish (2022). The Chapparals were nationally ranked every year since 2019. During his time as head coach, he had 4 players that were honored with NJCAA D3 All American awards, 13 players that were awarded NJCAA Region 4 honors and had 11 Academic All Americans in his time. 

The 2023 season was the best year for Wilson. The Chaparrals were consistently ranked among the nation's top 15 teams and finished with a 34-18 overall record. They finished the season with nine offensive categories finishing in the top 10 or better.

He spent the previous five seasons as the Chaparrals assistant. During those five seasons, Wilson helped with the teams hitting and infield. COD finished in the top 25 in hits in each of the those 5 seasons. The 2015 squad finished in the top 25 in 14 offense categories with Javier Martinez leading the nation in runs batted in.
 
Wilson attended Aurora University where he played for head coach Shaun Neitzel and earned his bachelor’s degree. He helped Aurora to three conference titles and three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances.  He finished his playing career as the school’s leader in at-bats (641), singles (178) and fielding assists (489).

Wilson also runs the Chicago Select Baseball program. Wilson and his wife reside in Glen Ellyn with their daughter.
