Brian Ratleph enters his 15th year as the Athletic Aide II at the University of Chicago in the 2025-26 academic year.

Ratleph works closely with Athletic & Recreation facilities management team to plan, troubleshoot, and coordinate work. His main oversight includes setting up the athletic facilities, recreation spaces, and for events and NCAA contests. In addition, Ratlephperforms daily maintenance of the fields, athletic and recreational equipment, and tends to the fitness equipment in the Ratner Athletic Center and Henry Crown Field House. He also snow plows the Field Turf field.

Ratleph earned his bachelor’s in business administration from Saint Xavier University in 2004. At SXU, he was a pitcher on the baseball team. Ratleph also earned an associates degree in automotive technology from Moraine Valley C.C. in 2007.
