Carlos Jones enters his second year as the Assistant Football Coach at the University of Chicago in the 2025-26 academic year. He served as the running backs coach in 2024, and he will serve as the offensive assistant in 2025.

Jones came to the University of Chicago after four seasons at Von Steuben High School, where he spent two years as the Defensive Coordinator and two years as the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. During those four seasons at Von Steuben, Jones coached 10 different players who went on to play football at the collegiate level.

Prior to his time at Von Steuben, Jones spent time coaching football and a plethora of different leagues and levels. He was the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Nicholas Senn High School in 2019 and for the Wisconsin Dragons Women's Tackle Football team in 2018-19.

In 2017, Jones served as the Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for Lakeview High School and the Offensive Coordinator for the Leyden Lions Semi Pro Football Team.

From 2012 to 2017, Jones served as the defensive backs coach for the Chicago Force Women's Tackle Football team. During his time with the Force, the team compiled a 55-9 record, apparing in back-to-back National Championships, winning the title in 2013. The team also allowed just 11 points per game over the six full seasons.

Jones also spent time as the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the DePaul University Club Football team from 2013 to 2015, the Wide Receiver Coach for the Loyola University Club Football team in 2012, and the Owner and Head Coach for the Chitown Blaze Semi Pro Football team from 2008 to 2013.
