Jessica Ruiz-Arteaga enters her seventh year as the Locker Room Attendant at the University of Chicago in the 2025-26 academic year.

Her main oversight includes working in the Department's Equipment Rooms caring for the apparel and related items associated with the varsity teams (practice gear, uniform items, warm-ups, etc.), coach/staff game and workout apparel, intramural needs, event staffing apparel, and more. In addition, Jess distributes gear, issues lockers/cubbies, and maintains the locker rooms in the Ratner Athletics Center and Henry Crown Field House.

Jess previously worked as an operations intern for the Chicago Red Stars, She earned her bachelor's degree in sports management from Aurora University in 2018. At Aurora, she was a part of the cross country/track & field teams.
