Joseph Johnson enters his first year as an Athletic Aide I at the University of Chicago in the 2025-26 academic year. Before joining UChicago, he worked with the Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics, contributing to youth basketball development, community engagement, and gameday operations. He also supported event operations at MIT Athletics, helping enhance the atmosphere and efficiency of game-day experiences.
A former collegiate basketball player and cum laude graduate of Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Johnson has built his career around the power of sports to inspire, connect, and develop future leaders. He also serves as CEO of Youth Mind Power, a nonprofit founded by his late mother that empowers youth through mentorship, leadership development, and education.
