Steve Kollar enters his second year as the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at the University of Chicago in the 2025-26 academic year.

Most recently Kollar was a varsity assistant coach at Downers Grove North High School, helping lead the Trojans to a conference, regional, and sectional championship. Prior to Downers Grove North, Kollar served as the head coach at Concordia University Chicago where he led CUC to their first conference championship in school history in the 21-22 season as well as the best start in school history since 1967 (8-0) in the '22-23 season. Prior to Concordia Chicago, Kollar served as the head coach at Blackburn College. Kollar has been named Coach of the Year in two different conferences while at Blackburn College and Concordia University Chicago.

Prior to his head coaching career, Kollar was an Assistant Coach at Benedictine University and University of St. Francis. He played and graduated from Elmhurst University with a degree in secondary education. Kollar and his wife Sarah, reside in Wheaton, III.
