Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Four different players scored for the University of Chicago men's soccer team as it defeated host Kalamazoo College 4-0 Sunday afternoon for its first victory of the 2011 campaign.
Senior midfielder Stanton Coville (Powell, Ohio/ Olentangy Liberty) gave the Maroons (1-1) the only goal they would need when he notched his second of the season off an assist from senior defender Rashad Masri (Louisville, Ky./ Collegiate) in the 42nd minute.
Sophomore defender Alexis Onfroy (Yellow Springs, Ohio/ Yellow Springs) scored his first career goal in the 48th minute with an assist from senior midfielder Cole Kroshus (Bismarck, N.D./ Century).
Junior midfielder Steven Chase (Cumberland, Maine/ Greely) (pictured) made it 3-0 with his first goal of the season in the 65th minute. Coville assisted on the goal, giving him five points (two goals, one assist) in two matches this season.
Chicago capped the scoring in the 82nd minute on freshman forward Michael Choquette's (Springfield, Mass./ Loomis Chaffee) first career tally.
The Maroons, who netted four goals in a game for the first time since Sept. 8, 2009 (vs. Lake Forest College), held Kalamazoo (1-1) without a shot.
Chicago continues its season-opening six-game road swing Wednesday when it travels to Crawfordsville, Indiana, to face Wabash College at 5:30 p.m. (ET).
