ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – The University of Chicago men's tennis team lost to Case Western Reserve University 7-2 in round one of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Thursday.
The No. 17-ranked Maroons dropped to 9-9 on the year while the No. 10-ranked Spartans improved to 15-5.
Case won two of the three doubles matches and then took the top five singles matches. Senior Krishna Ravella and freshman Max Hawkins picked up an 8-6 victory at No. 2 doubles, and Hawkins won in three sets 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 at No. 6 singles.
