HOW IT HAPPENED
- After beating Carroll (14-4, 4-2 CCIW) by15 this season, the assumption that another win would be coming University of Chicago's (12-4, 6-0 CCIW) way would have been correct as the Maroons downed the Pioneers by the same total on Wednesday. The game winning goal for UChicago once again came in the first quarter and was scored by Skylar Lienhardt with 3:20 left to go to put the home team up 7-0.
- The Maroons scored 14 in total during the first half and another seven in the second as they secured yet another CCIW victory behind the goals of ten different student-athletes including Lulu Hardy who led all players with seven and Jane Chen who had a game high four assists to increase the new single season record she already owns.
- Gabrielle Kiewe continued her solid play in net with eight saves while the Maroons faceoff players won 20 of the 29 draw controls and the defense forced 11 Pioneer turnovers in the 21-6 victory.
