#3 Maroons Head to #16 Rochester for UAA Sunday Showdown

CHICAGO -- The third-ranked University of Chicago women's soccer team travels to New York for another UAA showdown as the team looks to bounce back from the 1-0 loss to #1 Emory on Friday. The Maroons battle #16 Rochester 1 PM ET on Sunday. * The Maroons enter Sunday with an 11-1-2 record on the season after their 13-game unbeaten streak was snapped in their 1-0 loss to #1 Emory on Friday.
* The 11-0-2 start to the season was the longest unbeaten start to a year for a UChicago team since they started the 2017 season with a 17-0 record.
* The UAA was outstanding in non-conference play this year with a 70-2-13 record and a goal differential of 271-33.
 * The top-3 ranking for the Maroons is the highest for the team since they were also ranked third on September 25, 2018.
* The #16 Yellowjackets will be the sixth consecutive top-25 team that the Maroons have faced. UChicago holds a 3-1-1 record in those previous five games.
Mary Stuart Kerrigan leads the team with seven goals on the season. Kerrigan has scored the equalizer in each of the past two games against #16 Carnegie Mellon and #6 Case Western Reserve.
Indira Naylor earned UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week honors last week, following her 77th-minute game-winner over Carnegie Mellon. Naylor has scored in back-to-back games, and her game-winner against the Tartans was the latest for UChicago since 2023.
Ella Cho leads the team with 5 assists on the season after her two-assist performance in the 2-1 win over North Central (IL).
Amy Reifert has recorded 443 wins in her illustrious career. She sits 6th all-time in career Division III wins and 22nd all-time among all levels of the NCAA.
* Following Sunday's match with Rochester, UChicago will return to their home field for the final time this regular season as the team battles #19 Brandeis on Senior Day on Sunday, November 2.

* UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER NOTES: 

* Rochester enters Sunday with a 7-2-5 record after falling to #2 WashU 5-0 on Friday night.
* The Yellowjackets have lost only two games this season with a 3-1 loss to #4 Case Western and the 5-0 loss to #2 WashU.
* Rochester has a 5-0 record in one-goal games this season with four 1-0 victories.
* Delia McMullen and Natalie Santangelo lead the Yellowjackets with 3 goals on the year.
* Santangelo and Hannah Nagashima lead with four assists each in 2025.
* In goal, Rochester has played a keeper-by-committee strategy with Eleni McGuire starting six games and Sydney Moore starting seven games. The duo has combined to make 41 saves with 14 goals allowed.
* Following their match with the Maroons, #16 Rochester will hit the road for another top-20 matchup with #19 Carnegie Mellon on November 1.

SERIES HISTORY:

* Rochester holds an all-time 17-14-6 advantage over the Maroons. 
* The last time these two teams met, the Maroons suffered a 3-1 loss to the Yellowjackets. Kamiryn Braxton Grimes was the lone scorer in that match for UChicago last season.
* UChicago has not beaten Rochester since 2018 when the Maroons blanked the Yellowjackets 3-0. The Maroons are also looking for their first win in Rochester since 2017.
