SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The University of Chicago women's cross country brought home a fourth-place finish from the Gold Division of the Joe Piane Invitational on Friday morning at Notre Dame.
Katja Dunayevich led the Maroons with a sub-18 minute time of 17:48.7 to bring home a top-15 finish in the meet. She placed third amongst all Division III runners in the meet.
Maggie Horn and
Estelle Snider also joined Dunayevich with top-20 finishes as Horn ran an 18:02.01 and Snider ran a collegiate best 5K time of 18:04.4.
A pair of freshmen rounded out the scorers for the Maroons as
Sylvia Snider finished 29th with a time of 18:14.6 and
Vivian Kelly finished 48th with a time of 18:33.0
The Maroons will return to action on Saturday, October 4, as they travel to Augustana (IL) for the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational.
