CHICAGO -- The 3rd-ranked University of Chicago men's soccer team earned the #8 overall seed in the 2025 NCAA Division III Tournament, and the team will travel to Whitewater, Wisconsin for the first two rounds this weekend.
The Maroons will travel to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for the NCAA Regional round on Saturday and Sunday as the field reduces from 64 teams to 16. Despite being the top-seed in the pod, the Maroons were unable to host due to the women's team earning hosting rights and having priority. #3 UChicago will take on DePauw on Saturday, and the hosts, UW-Whitewater, will take on #12 WashU in the second game of the day. The Regional round wraps up on Sunday as the winners of each of the opening rounds games will play with a spot in the NCAA Tournament Sectional round on the line.
The University of Chicago enters the NCAA Tournament with a record of 11-2-5 in the regular season, and the team finished in second place in the UAA with a record of 4-1-2 in league play. The Maroons had their 16-match unbeaten streak snapped last weekend with a 1-0 loss to #12 WashU in the regular season finale.
This will be the first time that the men's soccer team has traveled on the road in the Regional round since 2021 when the men's team also traveled to Ohio with two games at Otterbein. The Maroons took down Webster and #9 Otterbein before eventually making a run to the Final Four that season.
More information regarding live stat and video links, ticket information, and fan guides will come out later this week.
