#4 Women's Soccer Tallies Four All-Region Selections

CHICAGO — The University of Chicago women's soccer team earned four All-Region selections, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday morning.

Mary Stuart Kerrigan and Jamie Nguyen brought home 1st-Team All-Region selections, and Lucy Harrison-Caldwell and Gabriella Jensen earned 2nd-Team All-Region honors.

Mary Stuart Kerrigan earns 1st-Team All-Region honors after being named a 1st-Team All-UAA selection. The Mount Pleasant, California native led the team in the regular season with 8 goals, and she has tallied 5 assists and 21 total points on the year. For her career, Kerrigan scored 16 goals with 8 assists and 40 points while appearing in 66 games with 57 career starts.

Jamie Nguyen adds a 1st-Team All-Region selection following her 1st-Team All-UAA selection for the Maroons. Nguyen scored two goals and added three assists as she led the team in the midfield as one of the top sixes in the country after being one just two players to start all 21 games this season. During her first two collegiate seasons, the Sunnyvale, California native has tallied 4 goals and 3 assists while appearing in all 43 games.

Lucy Harrison-Caldwell also grabbed a spot on the All-Region team with her 1st-Team All-UAA honors in the midfield. The Dexter, Massachusetts major scored six goals and added four assists for 16 points in an excellent season at the number 8 position. Five of her six goals on the year also came against top-25 opponents, including a brace against Brandeis on Senior Day and the game-winning goal in the 2-1 win over Calvin.

Gabriella Jensen capped off the All-Region selections after earning a 2nd-Team All-UAA selection for the Maroons in a breakout freshman season on the back line. The first-year appeared in all 15 games with 11 starts, and the Topanga, California native averaged 85 minutes per game during UAA play.

The University of Chicago women's soccer team will return take the pitch on Thursday afternoon as the fourth-seeded Maroons battle the top seed, WashU, in the National Semifinals at 2 PM CT. With a win, the Maroons will advance to the National Championship game to take on the winner of #2 Emory and #3 Tufts on Saturday afternoon.
