2/17/2025 1:53:00 PM

ALLENDALE, Mich. -The University of Chicago women's track and field team made history by setting a new NCAA Division III record in the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) with a time of 11:31.24. The record-breaking team comprised student-athletes Nora Holmes, Ren Brown, Emma Kelly, and Claudia Harnett.

This remarkable achievement occurred during a meet at Grand Valley State University (GVSU), where the team surpassed the previous record of 11:32.24 set by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2013.

The DMR is a relay race that combines four legs: 1,200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, and 1,600 meters. Each member of the UChicago team delivered an exceptional performance, contributing to the team's overall success.

UChicago women's track and field currenlty sits at No.4 in the latest USTFCCCA rankings.
