CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago opens their 2025 outdoor season this weekend as they travel to St. Louis for the WashU Distance Carnival and the WashU Invitational. * The University of Chicago took home a sixth place finish from the NCAA Indoor National Championships.
* The Distance Medley Relay team of Nora Holmes, Ren Brown, Emma Kelly, and Claudia Harnett won the National Championship to highlight the UChicago performance at Nationals.
* The Maroons concluded the indoor season ranked #5 in the full season analysis ranking.
* Ren Brown led UChicago with three All-American awards in the Distance Medley Relay, 60m Hurdles and 400m Run at the National Indoor Championships.
* Evelyn Battleson-Gunkel was the lone other Maroons to win two 1st-Team All-American awards in the 3000m Run and 5000m Run.
* Nora Holmes joined Brown and Battleson-Gunkel with multiple All-American awards in the Distance Medley Relay and the 3000m Run.
* Marina Semple added 1st-Team All-American honors in the Long Jump with a 7th place finish.
* Emma Kelly and Claudia Harnett each joined Brown and Holmes to win the National Championship in the Distance Medley Relay.
*After this weekend, the Maroons will travel to Elmhurst, Illinois for the Chicagoland Championships on April 4 and 5.
