#24 Lacrosse Closes Out Regular Season with Commanding Win over Blugolds

CHICAGO — The No. 24-ranked University of Chicago women's lacrosse team put on a clinic Saturday afternoon, dismantling Wisconsin–Eau Claire 25–6 at home to improve to 11–4 on the season.

The Maroons came out firing with a 9-goal first quarter, highlighted by a hat trick from Peyton McGuire in just the opening frame. McGuire finished with a game-high five goals, including two on free position shots. UChicago's offense was relentless, outscoring the Blugolds 16–3 through the first half and racking up 13 different players on the stat sheet.

Avery Song and Skylar Lienhardt each netted four goals, while Lulu Hardy added a hat trick and two assists. The Maroons showcased their depth, with goals from Jane Chen, Charlotte Semlies, Nicoletta Tsiamis, and Ella Kodl—all contributing to the team's season-high scoring performance.

The defense held strong, blanking Wis.-Eau Claire in the third quarter and allowing just one goal over a nearly 30-minute stretch. UChicago's ride forced turnovers that fueled transition offense and kept the visitors under constant pressure.

In the match, junior Kali Konstantinakos recorded a her 35th caused turnover this season to put her at 73 in her career. The 73 now puts her as the all-time caused turnover leader in program history.

The win extends UChicago's home winning streak and sets the tone as they prepare for the NCAA DIII Women's Lacrosse Selection Show to find out where they'll be seated for the postseason.
