CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago baseball team travels to River Forest, Illinois to battle Concordia-Chicago in their final of the 2025 regular season. A win for the Maroons would put them in an excellent position for an at-large bid heading into the NCAA Tournament Selection Show.

(RV) UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO NOTES:

* The University of Chicago sits at 26-13 overall and 12-8 in the UAA this season. UChicago is just one win away from breaking the program record for the most wins in a single season.
* The Maroons are coming off a doubleheader split over the weekend with both teams winning one game of each doubleheader.
* Michael Gladden has been hitting out of his mind over the past two weeks with a .618 batting average and a .971 slugging percentage. He is 21-34 at the dish with 17 runs scored, 8 extra-base hits, 14 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases in his last 9 games.
* Gladden ranks top-10 in school history in several single-season stat categories this season including 5th in Doubles (16), 6th in Stolen Bases (20), 7th in Runs (47), and 10th in Hits (56).
* Braden Jirovec leads the team in hits this season with 59. He is just nine hits from tying Nick Engel's 2015 record of 68 hits in 2015, and he is just three hits from standing alone in second place all-time for a single-season.
* Max Wiesner has had a breakout freshman campaign for the Maroons. His 48 RBIs in 2025 ranks as the 4th-most in school history, just 9 shy of Mark Mosier's single-season record set back in 1997.
* Drew Bryan currently sits at 237 career strikeouts which ranks 2nd all-time in UChicago history, just 59 away from the school record.
* Russell Kwinter is just the eighth pitcher in school history to record seven wins in a single season. He has 7-0 with a 2.97 ERA in his eight starts this season.
* Landon Brice has made 17 appearances on the mound for the Maroons with a 2.53 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. He has struck out 18 batters in 21.1 innings of work, and his 21 appearances are tied for 2nd-most in school history, trailing only Jim Germain who had 21 in 1992.

CONCORDIA-CHICAGO NOTES:

* The Cougars come in at 24-13 on the season and 15-7 in the NACC.
* Concordia Chicago has won six consecutive games with sweeps of Lakeland, Illinois Tech, and Wisconsin Lutheran. The Cougars have outscored their opponents 83-14 in those six games.
* Jake Mahler leads the team with a .376 batting average on the season. He has tallied 53 hits, 18 doubles, and 5 home runs on the year.
* Tyler Krater has been the top power bat in the lineup for the Cougars with 15 doubles, 11 home runs, and a team-high .673 slugging percentage.
* Bryce Jones has been exceptional out of the bullpen for Concordia-Chicago this season with a 1.42 ERA in 16 appearances.
* Following their game with UChicago, the Cougars will close out their regular season on Friday, May 2 as they host Concordia (WI) in a doubleheader.

SERIES HISTORY:

* The all-time series between the Maroons and the Cougars is tied 28-28.
* The first all-time meeting between these two teams came back in 1945, a 12-5 win for the Maroons.
