Maroons Land Six on IWLCA Great Lakes All-Region Team

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.  – The University of Chicago women's lacrosse team placed six student-athletes on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region teams as announced by the organization on Friday. The six honorees are the most the Maroons have had since 2022.

For the third time in her career, Rachel Keefe was named to the IWLCA Midwest All-Region First Team. In a spectacular senior season that saw an end at the Sweet Sixteen, Keefe started in all 18 games while recording 124 saves in the 380 shots faced. Keefe recorded a .471 save percentage on the year while also picking up a total of 128 ground balls. The senior goes down as the best goalie the Maroons have seen since adding a Women's Lacrosse team to the university.

In a stellar sophomore season, attacker Peyton McGuire was also named to First Team. In the 18 games played, McGuire led the Maroons in goals (49) and points (64). The New Jersey native also recorded 15 ground balls, 15 assists, and three caused turnovers.

Evelina Swigart was the last UChicago player to round out the Great Lakes First Team honors. In her career, she is fourth on the all-time points list with 164, and just this year Swigart recorded 45 points with 25 goals and 20 assists. Most notably, she totaled 89 draw controls on the year which led the Maroons by 28. Swigart also tallied 28 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers in her final season.

Placed on the Great Lakes Second Team, Jill Hooey showed out in her third season with the Maroons. Starting and playing in all 18 games for Chicago, Hooey produced a second career-best 26 goals and 12 assists. Hooey maintained her career over 50% shooting percentage, recording a .555 on the season in addition to a .702 shots on goal percentage. Hooey also finished out the year with 33 ground balls, 14 caused turnovers, and 61 draw controls.

For the fourth year in a row, Lulu Hardy was named as a member of an All-Region team. Named to the second team for her final year, Hardy finished out her career as the most decorated athlete for UChicago women's lacrosse. Just in her graduate season, Hardy recorded 49 goals and 8 assists for 57 points, including season-high 6 against Wooster in the round of 32. She also tallied 22 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.

Rounding out the second team awards for UChicago is defender Kali Konstantinakos. The junior had a fantastic 2025 season, breaking the all-time career record for caused turnovers in program history with 77. Konstantinakos finished the season with 39 caused turnovers, 2 draw controls, and 37 ground balls. In the game against Saint Benedict, Kali also recorded her only goal this season.
