CHICAGO, Ill. -- We are now under three months away from the 2025 UChicago women's soccer season which means it is time to break down the schedule. The full schedule can be seen HERE.

The UChicago season kicks off on August 29 at 4 PM PT as the Maroons take to the air for a trip to Santa Cruz, California for a pair of matches. UChicago will take on East Texas Baptist on Friday, and they will battle UC Santa Cruz on Sunday in their opening weekend of competition.

The Maroons will open their home schedule on September 10 as they host the Wheaton (IL) Thunder. The team will then return to their home field on September 13 to host Calvin to cap off the two-game home stand.

UChicago will hit the road for five consecutive non-conference matches in the next 11 days, including North Park on September 17, Hope on September 20, Kalamazoo on September 21, North Central (IL) on September 24, and John Carroll on September 27. The final non-conference match of the season for the Maroons will take place on Monday, October 6 as they welcome the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks to the Stagg Grass Fields.

University Athletic Association play kicks off on October 4 as the Maroons host the NYU Violets. UChicago will also host Case Western Reserve on October 18 and Brandeis on November 2 in their final two home conference matches of the season.

The Maroons will also travel on the road four times in UAA play in 2025. They will head to Pittsburgh on October 11 to battle the Carnegie Mellon Tartans. Then, on October 24 and 26, the Maroons will take their longest road trip of the season to Atlanta on Friday and Rochester on Saturday to battle Emory and Rochester. The final road trip of the season for UChicago will come in the season finale as they visit the defending National Champions, WashU, on November 8 in a rematch of the 2024 NCAA Quarterfinals. The Maroons will be looking for their first win over WashU since 2010 and their first win over Rochester since 2018.

UChicago has a loaded schedule for the 2025 season with 10 of their 17 opponents having qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division III Tournament. The schedule is highlighted by a pair of Final Four teams from a season ago with the Emory Eagles falling in the National Semifinals and the WashU Bears winning the National Championship after knocking out the Maroons in the Elite 8.

In addition to the two Final Four teams on the schedule, the Maroons will play two more Sweet 16 teams with New York University and Illinois Tech coming to Chicago in a three-day span in October. Additionally, Carnegie Mellon, Case Western Reserve, Rochester, and Calvin all reached the Round of 32, and North Central (IL) and UC Santz Cruz each dropped their opening round match.

UChicago is looking to return to the NCAA Tournament in 2025 for the third consecutive season and their 11th time in the past 12 seasons. The Maroons have reached the NCAA Tournament every year except 2022 since the 2013 season with four National Quarterfinal appearances and a pair of National Semifinal appearances. UChicago fell to Messiah in the Semifinals in 2016 and fell to Williams in 2017 in their last two Final Four appearances.
