CHICAGO, Ill. – Mike Sosna helped lead the Poland National Team to a sixth-place finish at Prague Baseball Week, marking the country's first two-win tournament performance since 2012.

Team Poland went 2-1 in group play, securing a 6-5 victory over Slovakia and an 11-1 rout of Lithuania. A loss to Switzerland set up a rematch for fifth place, where Poland ultimately fell 5-1 to the Swiss side.

Sosna made two appearances on the mound during the four-game tournament, including a standout performance in the dominant win over Lithuania that clinched a top-two finish in the group. He earned the win in that outing, throwing 6.1 innings while allowing just one run on five hits. He struck out six batters and held Lithuania to a .200 batting average.

During his freshman season at UChicago, the Chicago native made 11 appearances on the mound, pitching 10.1 innings with a 4.35 ERA and recording nine strikeouts. He held opponents to a .243 batting average and delivered 1.2 scoreless innings in his lone appearance during the Maroons' historic first-ever NCAA Tournament run.
