Box Score CHICAGO – Finally returning home after starting their season on the road in California, the Maroons netted seven goals to take down Wheaton College (IL) in their home opener. Seven different players laid one in for the Maroons, showing Chicago's efficient and deep depth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Now 3-0 on the season, Chicago has shown poise through their first three games. The offensive rotation between the Maroons front line has shown an aggression that has only progressed from last season.
- Lucy Harrison Caldwell assisted on two of the Maroons seven goals. Helping her teammate, Kamiryn Braxton Grimes open the scoring for Chicago in the third minute of play, Caldwell went on to also assists Indira Naylor before netting one in herself in the at 13:10.
- Senior Mary Stuart Kerrigan came in only a few seconds later to lay in the third goal for Chicago, her first of the year. The senior was assisted by Annabel Edwards who tallied on her second assists of the game after assisting on Caldwell's goal right before.
- Still on fire in the first half, the freshman Kate Bruntlett scored a goal to extend the Maroons' lead 5-0 to close out the half. Bruntlett's goal was her fourth of the year.
- There was no drop off in the second half for Chicago as Naylor and Cate Brown added some extra insurance with two goals of their own within the first 15 minutes of the second half. Naylor made a play on both the goals as she made the assists on Brown's sixth goal for Chicago.
- As time came winding down, the Maroons wanted to go out on an even higher note. As Ashley Hayase set the throw in for Chicago, Karena Shah was able to blcokout her defender to make a play and put another goal in the back of the net for Chicago.
- This win is the Maroons' most dominant over the Thunder.
