CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago women's soccer team return to their home pitch on Saturday afternoon to take on (RV) Calvin in their toughest test so far this season. * The Maroons enter the weekend with a 3-0 record on the season after picking up three shutout wins over East Texas Baptist (6-0), UC Santa Cruz (1-0), and Wheaton-IL (7-0).
* UChicago is 8-8-2 all-time against Calvin, and the Maroons knocked the Knights out of the 2024 NCAA Tournament with a 3-1 victory. Calvin has won the past three regular season matches between the two squads.
* The Maroons are looking for their fourth consecutive shutout to start the season for the first time since 2021 when they outscored their opponents 49-0 in the first 8 games of the year.
* UChicago will look to reach their 11th NCAA Tournament in the past 12 seasons with their lone miss since 2013 coming in 2022.
* The Maroons are one of just 25 teams to not allow a goal during the 2025 season. #11 UChicago joins a pair of UAA foes including #1 WashU and #8 Case Western in this feat.
* Kate Bruntlett earned UAA Offensive Player of the Week honors on the opening weekend. The freshman has scored four goals in her first three career games.
* Fellow freshman Annabel Edwards leads the Maroons with three assists on the year.
* Karena Shah, Kamiryn Braxton Grimes, and Cate Brown have also found the back of the net multiple times this season.
* After Saturday's game, the Maroons will hit the road for the first of five away games with a match at North Park.

* Calvin sits at 3-2 on the season following their 1-0 loss to North Central (IL) on Wednesday.
* The Knights have recorded a pair of clean sheet wins on the season with a 2-0 win over Wartburg and a 1-0 win over Greenville.
* CeCe McCarthy and Alexa Boersma lead the team with 2 goals on the season.
* In goal, Kalex Dodge has been outstanding with 23 saves, a 0.852 save percentage, and a 0.80 GAA.
