ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- University of Chicago freshman Kate Bruntlett was named the UAA Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the association office on Tuesday afternoon.

Bruntlett wasted no time making an impact in her collegiate debut, recording a brace in Friday's 6-0 victory over East Texas Baptist.

She followed that up on Sunday by netting the game-winning goal in the 17th minute, lifting the Maroons to a 1-0 road win at UC Santa Cruz and completing the weekend sweep.

The honor marks the first UAA Athlete of the Week award of Bruntlett's career. She is also the just second Maroon to claim the Athlete of the Week honors since October 24, 2023, joining teammate Indira Naylor.

Bruntlett and the Maroons return to action on Wednesday, September 10, when they host Wheaton (IL) in their 2025 home opener.
