CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago women's soccer team caps off their Michigan weekend on Sunday as they take on Kalamazoo at 3 PM ET.
*Â The Maroons enters Sunday with a 5-0-1 record on the season after dropping points for the first time on Saturday with a 2-2 draw against Hope.
*Â The 5-0 start to the season was the best start to a season and the longest winning streak for a UChicago team since they started the 2021 season with a perfect 8-0 record.
*Â The UAA has been nearly perfect as a conference this season with a 45-2-9 record and a goal differential of 180-25 as a league. #2 Emory (7-0), #5 Case Western (7-0-1), #6 UChicago (5-0-1), #7 WashU (6-0-1), #12 Brandeis (6-0-1), and Rochester (3-0-3) are all unbeaten this season.
*Â UChicago will look to reach their 11th NCAA Tournament in the past 12 seasons with their lone miss since 2013 coming in 2022.

Kate Bruntlett earned UAA Offensive Player of the Week honors on the opening weekend. The freshman has scored five goals in her first four career games. She is the first UChicago player to score in four consecutive games since Hanna Watkins in 2019.

Mary Stuart Kerrigan has scored three goals and has added one assist. She found the late equalizer against the Flying Dutch on Saturday in the 85th minute.

Ella Cho, and Katelyn Gomez lead the Maroons with three assists on the season.

Sophia Sasaki has been excellent in goal with a GAA of just 0.53 and 11 saves to go along with 3 clean sheets on the year.
*Â After Sunday's game, the Maroons will continue their five-game road trip as they take a mid-week trip to Naperville to battle North Central (IL) on Wednesday night.
KALAMAZOO NOTES:Â
* Kalamazoo enters the weekend with a 6-2-1 overall record.
* Kalamazoo opened the season unbeaten in their first six games, but the Hornets have dropped two straight with a 1-0 loss to Elmhurst and a 4-0 loss to Wooster. The Hornets had not allowed a goal in 2025 until those two losses this week.
* A trio of Hornet attackers including Ruby Hogan, Elle Bernas, and Maeve Nolan all lead the team with four goals on the year.
* Savannah Norman has also added a team-high 3 assists.
* In goal, Jess Forbis and Simmy Magnan have combined to make 27 saves with just 5 goals allowed on the year.
* Following their match with the Maroons, the Hornets will open MIAA play on Tuesday as they host Saint Mary's (IN).
SERIES HISTORY:
* UChicago leads the all-time series 13-5 over Kalamazoo.
* The Maroons have won 13 consecutive meetings over the Hornets after Kalamazoo won all five meeting from 1986-1990.
* These two sides did not play in 2024 for the first time since 2014.
* In 2023, UChicago took home the win in Hyde Park with a 4-1 scoreline.
