ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The University of Chicago women's tennis team continues to dominate at the 2025 ITA Central Regional Tournament through Saturday night. The Maroons have compiled records of 5-3 record in doubles and a 13-1 record in singles in the invitational.

In doubles play, all three UChicago teams won their Round of 16 round matches to make up three of the eight quarterfinalists. Charlotte Klein and Oliwia Mikos took down Kenyon 8-2, Tina Kintiroglou and Anika Paul took down Lake Forest 8-2, and Lauren Khou and Lily Zawaneh defeated WashU in a back and forth match with a 8-7(7-5) victory. In the quarterfinals, Lauren Khou and Lily Zawaneh were the lone UChicago team to win as they took down the #2 overall team from Kenyon 8-5.

Then, after a lengthy weather delay that caused matches to be moved indoors, the Maroons continued to dominate in singles play. Sarena Biria dispatched of her opponent with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Hope. Clara Zou, Tina Kintiroglou, and Anika Paul all won in straight sets with just four games dropped each, and Lily Zawaneh added a 6-2, 6-3 win over Case Western. Isabelle Chong had the toughest match of the day against Hope, but she was able to pull out a three-set thriller with a 7-5, 4-6, 10-3.

Six UChicago singles players will return to the courts on Sunday in St. Louis for the Round of 16 and Quarterfinals, and the doubles duo of Khou and Zawaneh joins three WashU duos in the doubles semifinals as they look to bring home the Regional title.
