9/25/2025 3:27:00 PM

CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago women's soccer team will end their five-game road trip on Saturday as they head to Ohio to take on John Carroll Saturday afternoon. This will be the Maroons last game before conference play begins next week.  * The Maroons enter the weekend with a 7-0-1 record on the season after a tough, 2-1, win against North Central on Wednesday night.
* The 5-0 start to the season was the best start to a season and the longest winning streak for a UChicago team since they started the 2021 season with a perfect 8-0 record.
* The UAA has been nearly perfect as a conference this season with a 55-2-10 record and a goal differential of 213-28 as a league. #2 Emory (9-0), #4 Case Western (8-0-1), #5 WashU (7-0-1), #8 UChicago (7-0-1), #11 Brandeis (6-0-2), and #15 Rochester (4-0-3) are all unbeaten this season.
* UChicago will look to reach their 11th NCAA Tournament in the past 12 seasons with their lone miss since 2013 coming in 2022.
* Kate Bruntlett leads the team with five goals on the year, and after scoring in the first five games of the season, she became the first UChicago player to score in four consecutive games since Hanna Watkins in 2019.
* Mary Stuart Kerrigan, Kamiryn Braxton Grimes, and Karena Shah have each scored three goals on the season, and Shah leads the team with two game-winning goals.
* Annabel Edwards, Ella Cho, and Katelyn Gomez lead the Maroons with three assists on the year.
* After a standout freshman season, Indira Naylor seems to be getting her groove back after finding the net for her second goal of the season in Chicago's win on Tuesday.
* Sophia Sasaki has been excellent in goal with a GAA of just 0.46 and 13 saves to go along with 3 clean sheets on the year.
* After Saturday's game, the Maroons will finally return home to open up UAA play against NYU on Saturday, Oct.4.
