ATLANTA, Ga. -- The University of Chicago volleyball team defeated Case Western Reserve University 3-1 to take third place at the UAA Championship on Saturday.
The No. 2-seed Maroons finish the regular season with a 28-10 record. The No. 4-seed Spartans fall to 24-11.
Chicago won the four-set match by scores of 25-15, 25-22, 22-25, 25-17. Maren Loe was the kill leader with 16. Katie Huntington and Morgan Barry finished with 13 kills and 10 kills, respectively. Setter Nikki DelZenero compiled 48 assists and 13 digs. Libero Eirene Kim collected 25 digs. Caroline Brander served up two aces, made three blocks and spiked nine kills. Katie Trela scored seven kills with four blocks. Barry also totaled four blocks.
