CHICAGO, Ill. -- University of Chicago softball players Jacqueline Ryan and Kristin Lopez earned inclusion to the 2013 University Athletic Association (UAA) All-Conference Team on Friday. Both Maroons placed on the Second Team and were first-time selections.

As the starting right fielder, Ryan is currently hitting for a career-best .310 batting average in 27 starts. The senior has totaled 17 runs scored to go with four RBI, 11 walks and six stolen bases. Ryan is also tied for the team lead with eight multi-hit games and put together a 13-game hitting streak this year.

Lopez has started all 28 games as a freshman and leads the team in multiple offensive categories, including a .398 batting average, 10 extra-base hits, nine steals, a .602 slugging percentage and a .480 on-base percentage. She has eight multi-hit games to her credit and an eight-game hitting streak this season.
