CHICAGO – University of Chicago's women's volleyball program fell in four sets to Millikin in non-conference action on Friday evening inside the Ratner Athletics Center. 

After suffering a 25-20 defeat in the opening frames, the Maroons looked like they might pull off another comeback victory with a 25-23 win in set two. However, Millikin found its form and claimed wins in the final two sets, 26-24 and 25-18, respectively, to win the match 3-1. 

Ellie Alden racked up 13 kills at a .343 clip while fellow middle Diya Misha posted 10 and a .474 attack percentage. Maya Patel facilitated the offense, posting 40 assists and 20 digs. In total, five Maroons racked up double-digit digs.

Both teams hit an identical .209, but Millikin's 11 service aces compared to UChicago's four played a big factor in the match.

UChicago will celebrate its seniors Alden and Maddie Ryan as part of tomorrow's match against NCC. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. with the Senior Day ceremony immediately following.
