WHEATON, Ill. – The University of Chicago wrestling team scored a pair of dual meet victories over Wheaton College and Aurora University on Saturday afternoon.

The Maroons improved their dual meet record to 2-1 on the season.

UChicago started the day with a 35-11 win over host Wheaton. The Maroons prevailed in seven of the 10 matches. Right afterwards, they took down Aurora 40-8. UChicago put up eight victories versus the Spartans.

Five different Maroons picked up two wins apiece. Wyatt Haynes pinned both of his 184-pound opponents in the first period. Ryan Fleck (149 pounds) tallied a pair of technical falls with scores of 18-4 and 19-1. Drew Vlasnik secured wins of 10-5 and 14-1 at 157 pounds. Darian Estevez (165 pounds) compiled one forfeit and an 18-6 major decision. Danny Lingen recorded a second-period pin at 285 pounds and a forfeit victory at 197 pounds.
