Game One – Calvin 3, UChicago 2
Calvin drew ahead 3-0 after scoring once in the second, third and fourth innings. UChicago was able to break onto the scoreboard in the top of the sixth and chopped the deficit to 3-2. With two outs, senior Savannah Pinedo drew a walk and senior Lainey Hughes singled to center. A subsequent throwing error on the shortstop brought both runners home.
The Maroons put the tying run on second in the top of the seventh, but the Calvin recorded the final out to claim the win.

First-year pitcher Paige Heffke (8-7 record) threw all six innings in the loss. She posted six strikeouts, three runs allowed and one walk.
