CHICAGO – The University of Chicago Department of Athletics & Recreation is pleased to announce the creation of the University of Chicago Women's Volleyball Fund.
The endowment was made possible by a generous gift from an anonymous donor. The fund will serve as a source of ongoing support for the women's volleyball program and its priorities.
"The volleyball program is incredibly thankful for the creation of this endowment fund," said Head Volleyball Coach Mitchell McPartland. "Support from donors directly impacts our volleyball players and this fund will continue to help our team now and in the future. As the third women's program with an endowment fund, we're thrilled to celebrate this milestone in the same month as the 50th anniversary of Title IX. I cannot thank the anonymous donor who established this fund enough for the transformative effect it will have on our program."
