CHICAGO – After having to settle for ties in two out of their last three games, University of Chicago men's soccer was looking for a decisive win against visiting New York University at Stagg Field. Unfortunately, a late NYU goal got the best of the Maroons as the home team fell by the score of 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- No. 10 University of Chicago (6-2-3, 1-1 UAA) had their chances in the first half, outshooting New York University (3-5-2, 1-1 UAA) 8-3 but neither team could put one past the others keeper in a scoreless first half.
- The Maroons tried to keep the pressure going in the second frame, doubling up the Violets in shots 14-7. However, they once again could get nothing to find the back of the net.
- The lone goal of the contest came with just under eight minutes remaining when NYU finally broke the stalemate as the Maroons get shut out for just the second time this season by the score of 1-0.
