ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – In the final qualifying meet before NCAA nationals, the University of Chicago outdoor track & field teams competed at the Augustana College Midwest Twilight on Thursday.

Loren Brown won the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.05 that currently ranks 13th in NCAA Division III.

The Maroon women also took runner-up in five other events as well. The 4x100-meter relay squad of Camila Garanton, Gabriela Meschino, Isabel Layne and Maddie Lyons put up the sixth-best time in the nation at 46.45. Maya Ordonez's time in the 800 meters (2:10.88) is currently 12th nationally while Caitlin Jorgensen ranks 15th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:45.75). Meschino crossed the finish line in the 200 meters in 24.73 and Rebecca Stewart posted a top triple jump of 11.83 meters.

On the men's side, Simon Dixon took second place in the shot put at 16.15 meters. Jack Barbour also placed second with a time of 9:09.77 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
