#7 Calvin defeats UChicago Volleyball 3-1

GRAND RAPIDS, MI- The Maroon volleyball team traveled to Grand Rapids on Wednesday evening to take on #7 Calvin College and were defeated 3-1.
 
After losing the first set 16-25, the Maroons rebounded in the 2nd set to win 25-19. Unable to keep the momentum, they lost the final two sets 16-25, 15-25.
 
The Maroons offense was led by Maggie McInerney, who had 11 kills and one ace. Thalita Marangon also had a strong match for UChicago, with 7 Kills, 8 digs and 5 Blocks. Setter Maya Patel had 25 assists.
 
Next up, the Maroons will host #3 UW-Oshkosh & #2 Hope College on Saturday. Gametimes are set for 11 AM (UChicago vs. UW-Oshkosh), 1:30 PM (UW-Oshkosh vs. Hope) and 4:00 PM (UChicago vs. Hope).
