CHICAGO, IL-UChicago Volleyball squared off with #2 Hope College and #3 Wisconsin-Oshkosh today, taking both teams to 5 games in both matches.
 
#3 WISCONSIN-OSHKOSH 3, UCHICAGO 2
 
In the first match of the triangular, U Chicago battled but ultimately fell to #3 Wisconsin-Oshkosh 3-2.
 
Oshkosh got off to a quick start in the first game, wining 25-18. UChicago won game 2 & 3 with scores of 25-21 and 25-23, while falling in games 4 and 5, 25-17 and 15-9.
 
Maggie McInerney had 20 kills and 14 digs, while Thalita Marangon finished the match with 9 kills and 3 blocks. Setter Maya Patel had 42 assists and 13 digs, while libero Kennedy Cheung added 21 digs and 5 assists.
 
#2 HOPE COLLEGE 3, UCHICAGO 2
 
In their second match of the day against top 3 ranked teams, UChicago again had a strong match and fought until the end.

UChicago came out strong, winning the first match 25-23. Hope won matches 2 and 3 with scores of 12-25 and 16-25. Chicago stormed back in the 4^th to take that set 25-21 and ultimately fell in the 5^th 10-15.
 
Diya Mishra had 17 kills and 3 blocks for the match. Maggie McInerney added 13 kills and 16 digs. Maya Patel had 40 assists while Kennedy Cheung added 35 digs.
 
Next Sunday, the Maroons host the 2^nd UAA Round Robin of the season and will take on Brandeis and Wash U.
