CHICAGO – Angie Torain, Director of Athletics and Recreation for the University of Chicago, has announced the creation of the Athletic Director's Circle, a giving community which will proudly uphold the rich history and tradition of UChicago Athletics. Committed to the NCAA Division III model, the society celebrates the University's achievements in athletic excellence, academic distinction, and the holistic development of student-athletes.
Membership into the community starts at an annual gift of $25,000 which directly impacts the Athletics Department and 20 varsity sports. These members provide crucial funding and resources to advance UChicago Athletics' mission, fostering the growth and success of student-athletes aligning with the core priorities of Maroon Athletics: Excellence, Experience, and Engagement.
"It is an exciting time to be a Maroon! The Athletic Director's Circle is how we will secure the work that we are doing to ensure that the department of athletics and recreation and its varsity programs remain a top Division III program now and in years to come," says Torain.

The current members of the Athletic Director's Circle are a group of visionary donors who have played a crucial role in launching this new initiative. By providing significant, early-stage financial support, these initial commitments have helped to establish the foundation for long-term impact and growth and will enhance and foster an environment of success for UChicago student-athletes at the highest levels in competition, in the classroom, and as leaders in society.
