ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Opening up UAA play and trying to get back into the win column for the first time in four games, University of Chicago men's soccer took on Rochester in each team's first conference battle. While the teams combined for 26 shots, offense was at such a premium that the matchup between the Maroons and Yellowjackets ended in a 0-0 tie.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- University of Chicago (5-5-1, 0-0-1 UAA) were outshot 5-4 in the first half but even with the additional attempt, University of Rochester (6-2-3, 0-0-1 UAA) wasn't able to find the back of the net in a scoreless opening frame.
- The Maroons turned on the pressure though in the final 45 and took a total of 12 shots. However, only one ended up having to be saved by the Yellowjackets keeper as opposed to three of the five Rochester tries that were sent toward Dhirpal Shaw.
- There were eight combined corner attempts and 26 total fouls that gave both teams chances to kickstart their offense but both earned a tie in their UAA opener in a 0-0 draw.

The Maroons will head back out east next weekend when they take on NYU on Saturday, October 12
