Grand Rapids, MI (Zuidema Field) – The University of Chicago women's soccer team put on a commanding performance to secure a decisive 4-0 first-round NCAA Tournament victory over Lawrence University in their matchup on November 15. UChicago's relentless attack and solid defense were pivotal in earning the win.
 

First-Half Fireworks:
UChicago wasted no time setting the tone, with Mary Stuart Kerrigan opening the scoring in the 12th minute off an assist from Kaitlyn Gomez. Indira Naylor doubled the lead in the 22nd minute, with a setup from Stella El-Fishawy. Avery Gallucci capped the first half with an unassisted goal in the 43rd minute, giving UChicago a 3-0 advantage heading into the break.

The second half saw UChicago maintain their momentum. Naylor notched her second goal of the match in the 48th minute, assisted by Kerrigan, solidifying the team's victory. The defense stood firm, limiting Lawrence to just four shots, only one of which was on target.
