HOW IT HAPPENED
- As the tip went to the Eagles, it seemed like the ball never went back to Edgewood's side after that first time. The Maroons jumped out a a 13-5 lead after a fastbreak three by Eamonn Kenah forced the Eagles to take a 30 sec timeout. Though, the momentum just kept growing for Chicago.
- Going into halftime UChicago went on a 10-0 run lead by the junior Joe Berry. As they capitalized on Edgewood getting in foul trouble, Chicago used their free throws to extend their growing lead and forced the Eagles to take rushed shots.
- The second half was a dominant offensive effort by the Maroons. A post move and made layup by Luke Smith gave Chicago their biggest deficit over the Eagles at 22 points. Chicago limiting the amount of second chance shots was a big factor in the win, Edgewood collected only four offensive rebounds as a team.
- Chicago shot 50.8% from the field in the game. In addition, the Maroons' bench scored 30 in the 20-point win.
