ATLANTA, Ga. – (RV) University of Chicago men's basketball was looking to get back on track after an extremely close loss to Rochester on Friday night. The Maroons battled with the Eagles of Emory throughout the game but a dip in shooting in the second half sent them towards a six point road loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- (RV) University of Chicago (13-9, 5-6 UAA) shot the ball well in the first half which allowed them to keep pace with an Emory (14-8, 5-6 UAA) squad that was also flashing a hot hand throughout the afternoon. The Maroons hit six of their ten shots from downtown while making their overall attempts 53.1 percent of the time as they went into halftime trailing by just one at 49-48.
- Unfortunately, their pace fell off in the second half. The Eagles suffered the same fate but didn't take quite the hit UChicago did which allowed Emory to jump ahead to a six-point lead with just over five minutes left.
- The Maroons got back within three after both teams went through a multi-minute scoring drought but an Eagles three pointer and free throws down the stretch allowed Emory to pull ahead for good and dealt UChicago a six point loss.
