ELMHURST, Ill. – University of Chicago lacrosse hit the highway for their first of two road games to close out the regular season and started things off with a tilt against Elmhurst. The Maroons dominated the Bluejays in every facet of the game as they claimed at least a share of the 2024 CCIW regular season title and a spot in the conference tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wanting to set the tone right away, University of Chicago (10-5, 5-0 CCIW) sprung into action with 13 first quarter goals and scored four more in the second before Elmhurst (2-11, 0-6 CCIW) finally found the back of the net on a free position attempt with 36 seconds left to go before halftime.
- The Maroons fourth straight 20+ goal game was secured with seven more tallies in the last 30 minutes of the contest as the highest scoring offense in the country approaches a 20 goals per game average. Skylar Lienhardt, Wynne Boggan, Olivia Escoffery, Lulu Hardy, and Peyton McGuire each had at least three tallies in the victory, but the defense did their part as well.
- Grace Hopkins was back in goal and got her second win of the season while the defensive effort featured seven caused turnovers and 13 more ground balls than the Bluejays in the 24-2 winning effort as the Maroons clinch yet another CCIW regular season crown.
