ALMA, MI – (RV) University of Chicago women's soccer traveled to Michigan on Sunday to take on Alma College for their second test of the season. After a close first half, the Maroons offense exploded in the second to take the match, 7-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- (RV) University of Chicago (2-0) scored within the first 15 minutes to start their seven-goal outing at Alma (0-1). The first was scored by freshman Indira Naylor.
- Though up by two at the end of the first half, UChicago's offense showed perseverance in the second. Not showing a glimpse of fatigue the Maroons took 14 shots and nine corner kicks during the second half.
- Six different players on the Maroons recorded a goal. Late in the first half, Mary Roberts notched one on the board at 37:00. Later on, sophomore Kamiryn Grimes scored two back-to-back goals within a minute of each other at 49:45 and 50:45.
- To close out the remaining minutes of the second half Mary Stuart Kerrigan, Avery Gallucci, and Jamie Nguyen each put up another score adding on to the dominance of the Maroons.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Maroons will fly to California to start their two game trip in Santa Cruz. On Friday, Sept. 6 they'll face Chapman University at 4:00 pm PST.
