Santa Cruz, CA – University of Chicago women's soccer started their California adventure with a win. The Maroons now head into Sunday's match now 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs Chapman
- After receiving votes on the latest rankings poll, the Maroons ended the first half holding a 2-0 lead.
- UChicago outshot the Panthers 7-4. In addition, the offensive aggression allowed them to score the first five goals of the game. Defensively, the Maroons recorded one save.
- Five different student-athletes recorded a goal for UChicago. Avery Gallucci and Kamiryn Grimes each recorded their third goal of the season.

Next up the Maroons will finish their time in California with one more game on Sunday, September 8. They'll face the host UC-Santa Cruz at 10 am PST.
