HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game was tightly contested throughout, with both teams exchanging leads multiple times. UChicago got off to a strong start, leading by four points at the half, 36-32. - In the second half, UChicago's offense stalled, managing just 23 points. NYU capitalized on the Maroons' shooting woes, especially from deep range, where UChicago made just one of their six attempts. - Though the Maroons managed to tie the game up at 59 with just under a minute remaining, the Violets would ultimately secure the victory with a last-second basket.
- Key contributors for UChicago also included Daniel Cochran (5 points, 6 rebounds) and Noah Pit, who came off the bench to score 8 points in just 16 minutes of play. However, despite the individual efforts, UChicago couldn't get enough stops down the stretch to close out the game.
