ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The University of Chicago women's track and field team brought home a fourth-place finish from the WashU Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Maroons grabbed eight top-5 finishes with four event wins overall in the meet. The team also had their throwers compete in the Big Blue Alumni Invitational at Millikin in which they won three different events in the meet.

Ren Brown swept both hurdles events on Saturday, taking the top spot in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 14.28 and the 400m Hurdles with a time of 59.74. Both times rank in the top-2 in NCAA Division III at this point in the season.

Gabriela Meschino took home the 100m Dash title with the #1 time in NCAA Division III this season at 11.78 seconds. The lone other event winner for the Maroons was Emma Kelly adding the title in the 1500m Run. Kelly's time of 2:14.77 ranks as the #10 time in the nation at this point in the outdoor season.

Sharona Schwab added the lone record book performance for the University of Chicago as her 400m Hurdles time of 1:03.66 ranks as the 6th-best in school history.

At Millikin, the Maroons won three of their four events with Rielley McNeill winning the Shot Put and Discus Throw events and Yichen Ding winning the Javelin Throw. Ding's mark of 112' 10" ties her career best and ranks as the fourth-best mark in school history.

Following the WashU Invitational, the Maroons will return to action on April 4 and 5 as they travel to Elmhurst for the Chicagoland Championships.
