CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago women's lacrosse team picked up an 18-7 victory over Rhodes College on Thursday afternoon toi win thier sixth consecutive game by at least 11 games.

The Maroons jumped out of the gate early with four goals in the first six minutes of the game, and the team answered the first Rhodes goal with five more of their own to take a 9-1 lead in less than 20 minutes of action. Olivia Escoffery and Skylar Lienhardt would end the half with a goal to help stretch the lead to 11-2 at the break.

After a quick goal for the Lynx, the Maroons were able to stretch the lead into running clock territory on back-to-back goals by Peyton McGuire and another tacked on on a rocket free-position shot by Avery Song. Jill Hooey and Evelina Swigart would then add goals in the fourth quarter to close out the 18-7 victory.

Rachel Keefe was lights out in goal with saves on 7 of the 11 shots on goal against her, saving over 60% of the shots in the win. Kate Kim also added 3 saves on 6 shots faced in the final quarter. Wynne Boggan was the top defender for the Maroons in the game as she caused a team-high 3 turnovers and picked up a team-high 4 ground balls.

On the offensive end, Evelina Swigart tallied 4 goals and a pair of assists to lead the team with 6 points. Peyton McGuire also added four goals for the Maroons.

With the win, the Maroons improve to 11-4 on the season. The team caps off their 2025 campaign on Saturday, April 26, as they host the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds at 12 PM.
