GENEVA, Ohio -- The University of Chicago women's track and field team capped off their Outdoor National Championships with seven total All-American performances and a National Championship.
Ren Brown brought home the lone National Championship of the meet in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 58.55 seconds. The title is the second National Championship of the year for Brown after bringing home the title in the Distance Medley Relay during the indoor season.
Brown also brought home the 1st-Team All-American award in the 100m Hurdles as she finished in second place with a time of 13.77 seconds, trailing only the National Champion who set the meet record.
Three more UChicago student-athletes joined Brown in earning 1st-Team All-American honors in their events on Saturday afternoon.
Claudia Harnett took fourth-place in the 1500m Run with a time of 4:26.18.
Anna Watson also added a sixth-place finish in the 5000m Run, and
Gabriela Meschino added a seventh-place finish in the 100m Dash.
Marina Semple earned the first All-American award of the weekend for the Maroons after she brought home a 13th-place finish in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.64 meters. This was her second All-American award in the Long Jump this season after placing 7th in the Indoor Long Jump.
The final event of the opening night of competition brought home the second All-American award for the Maroons. After
Estelle Snider qualified in the final spot in the 10,000m Run, Snider ran a season-best time of 35:29.90 to bring home a 12th place finish and her second career All-American award after placing 11th in the Indoor 5,000m Run in 2024.
