Box Score 2 WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- The University of Chicago baseball team's five-game winning streak came to an end as the Maroons dropped both halves of a doubleheader against 13th-ranked University of St. Thomas on their spring break trip Friday afternoon.
Game 1 Summary & Highlights
- RHP Steve Maher (5-0), the most recent NCAA Division III Pitcher of the Week, logged a complete game victory as St. Thomas took game one 8-2. He held the Maroons scoreless until they plated a pair of runs in the seventh inning.
- St. Thomas led 2-0 after four innings. The Tommies then hit six consecutive singles in the fifth as they expanded their lead to 7-0.
