Box Score CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago women's soccer team scored both of its goals in a three-minute span in the second half to shutout North Park University on Saturday.
The Maroons improve to 4-2-0 and the Vikings fall to 3-3-0.
Following a scoreless first half, Sara Kwan netted her fifth goal of the year in the 64th minute. Only three minutes later, Mary Bittner added an insurance goal to put Chicago comfortably ahead.
The Maroons held a 12-9 shot advantage and had two corner kicks compared to North Park's one. Goalie Jacinda Reid picked up Chicago's first shutout of the year in goal as the sophomore made six saves. North Park goalie Katie Ibarra tallied eight saves in absorbing the loss.
Chicago will hit the road and travel to Carthage College for a game on Thursday with a 4 PM start.
